Love addiction group psychotherapy

Posted by on in Insights from practitionners

carla.jpg“Love addiction group psychotherapy : an experience at the  Centro di Psicosintesi Clinica  di Firenze, Italia”

di Massimiliana Molinari , psychologist-psychotherapist S.I.P.T.

translation by Carla Casini , psychologist-psychotherapist S.I.P.T.

This article does not intend to provide a description of relationship dependency, but only to share an experience made at the Psychosynthesis clinical Center in Florence Italy, where a group of colleagues worked with people affected by relationship dependency by means of group psychotherapy.

This experience led to a series of insights and reflections on a possible direction to go in working with this type of problem.

At the Center for Clinical Psychosynthesis there is a group of psychotherapists who has been dealing with emotional dependencies for three years. Possible patients have been offered a free interview to assess possible problems of emotional dependence and in order to direct the person to the most appropriate type of treatment: individual or group psychotherapy, or activities carried out at the Center of Psychosynthesis.

THE TRANSLATION OF THE UPSIDE LANGUAGE OF THE SOUL IN PSYCHOTHERAPY

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_alberti.jpgEFPP 2013

Abstract

Alberto Alberti

1 . The soul is the very essence of man, the deepest part of his humanity and authentic . The purpose of life for every man is to manifest one's soul and become fully human .

2 . The man is a living being ( being-there ) oriented towards the manifestation of his own humanity , but immersed continuously in the risk of getting lost, and stray away from its essence.

3 . The instinct of the soul is its manifestation. The soul manifests itself and makes visible one's humanity through his voice, which are the " feeling free" ( freedom, confidence , courage, love , joy, etc. . ) .

4 . The feelings of the soul have their own fragility and vulnerability. When expressed , they need to be educated, seen , recognized , acknowledged and shared by the look of empathy and love on the part of at least one other person, who is in touch with his soul .

5 . If it does not , the human being feels misunderstood , hurt and humiliated in its intimacy . It was a process of de- humanization (" human impoverishment " according to Maslow ) . The soul, wounded in his feelings , withdraws , withdrew his presence ( retraction of the soul) , leaving behind a vacuum.

6 . It is assumed here that can take origin of the disease, from a " lack of presence " , a ' "absence" , a withdrawal (partial or total) of the soul. The vacuum soul is in general too distressing to be tolerated as such, whereby it tends to be filled from suffering and pathology .

7 . The human being does not show more directly the feelings of the soul. The feelings were like imprisoned in the debris of suffering and the reactions of the personality, subsequent to the injuries received .

8 . The man can communicate the feelings of the soul free , paradoxically, only through their prison , that is, in an indirect way , through the contents of distress (anxiety , anger, depression , etc.). Personality , who filled the vacuum of ' souls which they are organized over time in different forms and pathological structures .

9 . The mode of communication is verbal and conscious , but also and especially for non-verbal and unconscious ways . In the second case, the patient man mainly uses the mechanism of "resonance " to which projects out of itself the elements of suffering and disease , putting them through the spaces interpsychic , until they resonate in the human therapist.

10 . The man therapist hears itself human suffering patient , and must first receive it , welcome it and share it at least in part ( sharing of suffering ), but then also the specific task to go beyond suffering , to try to understand the deeper communication of the soul, in order to hear the voice of feeling below, which reveals itself as "joy mortified ."

11 . The therapist therefore has the important task to decipher the communication of suffering , translating into deeper message of the soul. Its specific function is then that of "translator " and he stands as a mirror, which receives and reflects , but also straightens and makes it transparent and visible the secret language of the soul.

12 . The soul speaks through feelings free. When a feeling is mortified , and narrows his presence is wrapped , covered and ultimately replaced by content from painful personality. It is in general complex of psychic elements replacement , which constitute one hand as an inverted representation of feeling hurt, and at the same time - since individual personality of content - in the form of duality and polarity.

13 . So for example a feeling of joy is wrapped mortified and flipped from a life of suffering can not rejoice. This form of pain in terms of personality can only manifest in ways dissociated bipolar , such as depression ( sadness of life, melancholia ) or mania ( euphoria and expansiveness unlimited ) or as alternation or mixture of both of these disease states.

14. The pain of not being able to rejoice, whether it is communicated and made to resonate in the mind of the therapist as pain or as an escape euphoric manic depressive (which is still a form of pain ) needs to be translated and reformulated by the therapist as " Joy is not joyful "because at that time not confirmed and is not shared as part of a relationship.

15 . The feeling free, while buried under the scar of wounds received , is still available to re- animate and revitalize , if the patient is able to perceive the therapeutic relationship , not as a danger of repetition of past hurts , but as the possibility of a new relational experience , within which that meeting can take place at the soul level and that acceptance and sharing of feelings, which in the past had failed.

Psychotherapy as a form of meditation, meditation as a form of psychotherapy in a psychosynthesis session

Psychologist Psychotherapist

The debate of the 70’s, “meditation or psychotherapy”, it is really over ?

We still have to discuss if, when, how and with whom is appropriate to introduce meditation in a psychosynthesis session. And which meditation are we talking about? Mindfulness is similar to dis-identification and self-identification ?

Reflective receptive and creative meditation as tools or as a the king way of/ to the soul.

Le aree su cui riflettere  sono : con chi, quando, quanto e come la meditazione  nella seduta ;

Is the Souls Language in serious illness to evaluate?

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_brode.jpgby Kristina BRODE

Augustinus: “Our whole business in life is it to heal the eye of the heart that is able to see God”

Research and proof in the soul field? Is that possible?

Philosopher Bonaventura (1221-1274) is cited in Ken Wilbers “Eye to Eye” (1983). He states

the three “Eyes of Perception”: of the flesh, of the mind and of contemplation.

How can we in our work use these three eyes scientifically? How can we examine the three realms of knowledge: the empirical realm of the senses, the rational realm of the mind, and the contemplative realm of the spirit?

In this seminar we will use our own professional experience to get deeper understanding and find the answers.

My early research with cancer patients will give a framework for measuring Life Quality and soul-progress by working with Psychosynthesis.

One of my questions in 1993 was: What gives a better picture of the change in patients, of their life quality changes:

  • 6500 sheets of tests (65/person) or
  • 5 Interviews examined with 10 categories?

Using Grace and Science is no contradiction if both is used with humbleness and greatest possible expertise.

Looking forward to touch with you our collective wisdom.

Abstract for workshop

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

Mon. 14 October 2013, Firenze

Author: Carla Fani

President SIPT

1) The model to which we will be referring to in the group I will be conducting is bio-psychosynthesis. I will be specifically presenting an experiential work and within  the field of psychoenergetics, the fifth force of psychology.

2) This work has its roots in what William James said and Roberto Assagioli quoted, regarding super-conscious experiences: “The importance of this realm of higher experience and reality cannot be overestimated, and the only possibility of its existence should incite scientists to dedicate a sum of energy, time and zeal in investigating it, equal to its human value”.

Another study, still in an experimental phase is based on research carried out on the so called Russian cosmism, which is inspired by the love for the universe, the cosmos and its creatures.

Ages past, different instruments, but all made equal by a creative and synthetic vision which has always characterized Man’s soul to reach for an evolution guided by the will to do good. When man separates from himself and from the intimate contact with his origins, he becomes ill, it involves. Following the same process even societies, countries and nations fall ill.

3) A research in which a small group of psychosynthesists were involved in explorative research, will be presented in September. This group was made up of a neurologist psychotherapist (me), two psychosinthesist counselors, one of which is a professor at the department of Physics, University of Bologna, professor Beatrice Pulvirenti and Carmen Guarino, an architect expert in bioarchitecture and megalithic architecture, Danilo Scintu, an expert researcher in psychoenergetics and ancient Italic healing forms, Mauro Aresu, and a medical student, Giulia Occhini.

4) This experience will be presented as a short paper with pictures and footage.

This will be followed by an exploration of personal, family and collective symbols and rituals linked with the themes of cure and healing. This work will be done in groups and sub-groups. Pictures and sounds will be used to stimulate the various functions of the Assagiolian Star. Finally, the participants will produce a summary of the work.

SINTOMI DEL NOSTRO TEMPO: ESPRESSIONE DI UN’ANIMA INASCOLTATA

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_depaolis.jpgBy Daniele De Paolis

1)Favorire l’espressione dell’anima quale vero maestro e guaritore

UBIQUITY OF THE SOUL IN ITS PROMISCUOUS CONTEXTS

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_datilo.jpgby Gianni Yoav Dattilo

“Der Sitz der Seele ist da, wo sich Innenwelt und Außenwelt berühren”

“The seat of the soul is there where the inner and outer worlds meet.”

Blütenstaub- Fragmente (19)

Novalis

I’d rather let the soul speak through me, than speak about the soul.  We may evoke its presence, feel it, imagine it, intuitively perceive it or simply live it, but if we dare to over-conceptualize, theologize, psychologize the Soul, it eventually fades and dissolves.

I deeply appreciate the emphasis of this conference on the soul as a living experience.

There is a definition of the soul by Robert Musil, the famous Austrian writer, in his book The Man Without Qualities, as "that which crawls away and hides whenever someone mentions algebra." So I will not mention algebra, and that’s surely not going to be difficult for me, because I dont know much about it, but I will not define the soul either.

All meanings depend on a context, and every spoken word is somehow an expression of the soul of the speaker.

Each of us resonates differentely with the whole idea of “soul”, and it would be meaningful to become aware of our own personal relationship to it in psychotherapy, counseling, but mostly in daily life, beyond words and theories.

THE SENSORY SOUL

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_tan.jpgBy Tan NGUYEN

The soul dimension in the context of a clinical psychosynthesis practice is considered to be a dimension of human existence.  We can experience this dimension through a moving sensory/feeling /time/space awareness.

Assumptions :

-        The symptom is a solution that the system has found to maintain its equilibrium. We don’t try to solve it since it’s already a solution. Our purpose in the counselling/psychotherapy relationship is to facilitate the felt sense of choice.

-          We assume that there are several levels of experiencing reality: first, a subjective experience of reality though names and forms experienced through the filters of personal and collective belief systems.  A second level is the awareness of physical reality. A third level is the felt sense of being in the world, the sense of I/Self. At this point, we could reach a felt sense of interrelatedness.

-          Through a relationship based on not-doing receptivity and felt/sensory empathy, a felt meaning may emerge. The client is in the mood to experience being in the flow of the world energy rather than isolated in one’s own encapsulated bubble.

THE RIGHTS OF THE SOUL

Posted by on in Presentations of the presenters

b2ap3_thumbnail_rosselli.jpgEFPP RESEARCH SEMINAR

Florence, 13th October 2013

THE RIGHTS OF THE SOUL

Massimo Rosselli

The theoretical and practical model at the basis of this work  is  the structural model of the whole person, as presented in psychosynthesis by the founder Roberto Assagioli. Particularly here the evolutionary journey of the Self is deepened in its phenomenology as a living ontological reality, manifesting as core identity and a unique “rainbow” of qualities, embodied and expressed through the personality. In full contact with the personality, the living reality of the Self can be described as having two faces: one face looking down at the individuality of the person in full contact with the personality, which can be named Soul, the other face looking upwards and horizontally at the universality of the spiritual essence (Spirit).

PROPOSED GUIDELINES FOR THE RESEARCH SEMINAR

Posted by on in Topics of research

The Psychosynthesis Research Seminar is a specific teaching format, apart from a training seminar or a supervision group or a self-development workshop.

In a training seminar, participants have to fit within a frame of reference given by the trainer and adapt themselves into it. In a self-development workshop, people come to live an experience, regardless of the epistemological validity of the method used. In a supervision group, the practitioner discusses a case with one’s supervisor. The focus is on the relationship therapist-client and on the pertinence of the use of the techniques.

The healing power of some megalithic sites

Posted by on in Insights from practitionners

In this paper we show the results of our first experimental campaign of measurements of magnetic field, conducted in some megalithic sites, located in the north of Sardinia, in Italy. The healing power of these sites is known since centuries. People go to these places to cure different kind of diseases, such as headaches, epilepsy, arthritis, infertility, etc. Our hypothesis is that there could be a similarity between these sites and some recent equipments, built by Russian scientists in the last 40 years. With these equipments, named Kozyrev mirror and hypo-magnetic chamber, very interesting experiments have been conducted, such as telepathy and healing of unhealthy tissues by radiation from healthy ones. The aim of this work is to find a scientific method to study these phenomena.
